Students trying their hand at short range archery at West Suffolk College.
Our first year Sports students enjoyed a range of showcase talks from six local employers in the sport and fitness sector last week. Thank you to Abbeycroft Leisure, Premier Education - West Suffolk & Essex, The Health Hub, Lynx Fitness, Center Parcs and Bury Physio.
The employers demonstrated practical tasks, as well as classroom presentations about pathways within work placements. As part of the students' courses they are required to complete a placement of their choice.
This is a great way to start the year, offering a fantastic and broad range of opportunities on the second day into College for the students. We thank all employers for taking part and look forward to working with them again this year - without them, out students cannot get the vital skills required for the working world so we're incredible grateful.
