What students say

Emma

"Completing the Access to Higher Education Social Sciences course allowed me to begin my degree in Social Work. The support I received at West Suffolk College helped me to understand how to fund myself and my family while I progress through my degree."

Nicola

"The Access to Higher Education Social Sciences course was a huge scary leap for me, but I bit the bullet and jumped and I am so glad I did. This has changed my life in so many ways."

Holly

"I had a really bad experience at sixth form and decided to drop out after my first year. I had lost all academic confidence in myself and felt like A-Levels were the only way to get into university. I heard about the Access course 3 years later and decided to give it a go. I’ve really enjoyed it, and it has given me my academic confidence back. All the teacher are really friendly and approachable, and they all understand how difficult it is to be an Access student. I felt nervous returning to education after three years; however the structure of the course eases you into the learning and teaches you about how to manage the work load. Overall I’ve had a lovely experience studying Access to Social Science and cannot wait to start my law degree."
