Taxi Driving Practical Assessment
We are pleased to be able to offer in partnership with St Edmundsbury and Forest Heath District Councils a one hour practical assessment for taxi and private hire drivers.
This examination is for candidates who either work or wish to work as a licensed taxi or private hire driver in the passenger transport sector.
Drivers will complete a practical assessment with a registered instructor. The session will start with some theory questions on customer service, transporting people with disabilities, road awareness and the highway code. The practical session will test common driving manoeuvres such as controlled stops, reversing, appropriate signals and general road awareness.
The assessment is scored by the instructor and their findings will be a pass or fail.
