About the course

This online qualification will give you the skills you need to carry out a range of regular computerised payroll routines and activities as well as giving you the important understanding of how payroll works with regards to tax codes, national insurance contributions, SMP, SSP and pension contributions.

 

Jointly developed by Sage UK in partnership with Skillsfirst, this RQF Accredited Qualification could help successful students become a Payroll Administrator, Assistant Acountant Payroll Supervisor or another similar job role.

Skills First Level 2 Certificate in Computerised Sage Business Cloud Payroll for Business.

What you'll learn (core modules)

There are 9 mandatory units consisting of knowledge and skills units.  These units enable you to comprehensively control and run an organisations payroll and include:

 

  • Statutory Sick Pay (SSP)
  • Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP)
  • Pension Schemes
  • Calculation of gross pay and net pay
  • Attachment of earnings orders
  • Computerised payroll theory and skills
  • Spreadsheet software

How will I be assessed?

You must complete 9 mandatory units and earn 23 credits to gain certification.  You will be provided access to self-assessments and practice tests, followed by final online assessments which can be undertaken at home at a time of your choice.

The course and assessments are all delivered online.

Where will this course take me?

After completing this course, you may wish to progress to the Skillsfirst RQF Computerised Accounting for Business Qualifications.

£390.00

If you need help with funding

The course is either Co-funded or fully funded.  If you are in receipt of any benefits or low wage (less than £22308 gross per annum) then the course will be fully funded.  If either of these are not applicable then the course fee would be payable.  This can be paid by credit or debit card or via invoice to an Employer.
