About the course
This online qualification is ideal for people who have a basic understanding of bookkeeping. This course will cover how to use Sage Business Cloud Accounting software to manage daily processes and more advanced functions such as producing invoices, credit control, reconciling accounts and management reports. It will also give you an excellent grounding in double entry bookkeeping.
Jointly developed by Sage UK in partnership with Skillsfirst, this RQF Accredited Qualification could help successful students become a bookkeeper, a purchase ledger clerk or a credit controller. This qualification would also greatly benefit owners of small businesses who use Sage.

What you'll learn (core modules)
There are 8 mandatory units consisting of knowledge and skills units. These units will provide an excellent start in understanding bookkeeping and accounting:
- Banking procedures
- Principles of recording and processing financial transactions
- Principles of VAT
- Professional values and basic business legislation
- Setting up accounting software to manage accounting information
- Process routine payments and receipts using a computerised system
- Maintaining and recording the cash book
- Maintaining the journal.
How will I be assessed?
You must complete 8 mandatory units and earn 16 credits to gain certification. You will be provided access to self-assessments and practice tests, followed by final online assessments which can be undertaken at home at a time of your choice.

The course and assessments are all delivered online.
Where will this course take me?
After completing this course, you may wish to progress to the Skillsfirst RQF Computerised Accounting for Business Level 3 Qualification or move on to a payroll course / qualification.

£375.00
If you need help with funding
The course is either Co-funded or fully funded. If you are in receipt of any benefits or low wage (less than £22308 gross per annum) then the course will be fully funded. If either of these are not applicable then the course fee would be payable. This can be paid by credit or debit card or via invoice to an Employer.
