An Accounts or finance assistant  is an integral part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within a business. The Accounts or finance assistant is responsible for assisting the team of accountants with junior accounting duties. These can vary massively depending on the team structure and size of business. An Accounts or finance assistant's work could include basic bookkeeping activities, working with sales and purchase ledgers, running calculations to ensure that records and payments are correct, recording of cash and data entry. Accounts or finance assistant can work in almost any sector. Potential employers include corporate businesses, sole traders, partnerships, Public sector, not-for-profit organisations and educational institutions. Accounts or finance assistant may work in-house for an organisation or they might work for accountancy firm, bookkeeping practice, Shared Service provider, self-employed or on behalf of several different clients.

This online qualification is ideal for people who have a basic understanding of bookkeeping.  This course will cover how to use Sage Business Cloud Accounting software to manage daily processes and more advanced functions such as producing invoices, credit control, reconciling accounts and management reports. It will also give you an excellent grounding in double entry bookkeeping.

 

Jointly developed by Sage UK in partnership with Skillsfirst, this RQF Accredited Qualification could help successful students become a bookkeeper, a purchase ledger clerk or a credit controller.  This qualification would also greatly benefit owners of small businesses who use Sage.

This online qualification will give you the skills you need to carry out a range of regular computerised payroll routines and activities as well as giving you the important understanding of how payroll works with regards to tax codes, national insurance contributions, SMP, SSP and pension contributions.

 

Jointly developed by Sage UK in partnership with Skillsfirst, this RQF Accredited Qualification could help successful students become a Payroll Administrator, Assistant Acountant Payroll Supervisor or another similar job role.
