Is it for me?

This course will help you develop foundational knowledge and understanding of Science, providing insight into Forensics and Biomedical Science, and offering a well-rounded and balanced approach to this varied professional field.
It is delivered in our state-of-the-art laboratories and specialist Science rooms. Alongside these vital modules, you will also focus on developing your academic skills, including Maths and English.
The philosophy of this course is to build your skills and confidence, helping you achieve your goals and progress to a Level 3 Science qualification or an apprenticeship.

What you'll learn

Assignments throughout this course will vary but will include learning in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, as well as introductions to Forensics, Biomedical Science and Health Science courses.

Work experience placements

Optional.

Assessment

There are two externally assessed exams and ten internally assessed exams.

Further study

Progression to Level 3.
