West Suffolk College are delighted to offer via Highfield Qualifications the L2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.   This allows learners to learn and qualify from home or anywhere in the country.  

 

This e-learning course and assessment with remote invigilation is ideal for those who work in a catering environment. This may include restaurants, cafes, hotels, bars, fast-food outlets, takeaways, mobile food trucks, kitchens, hospitals, schools and colleges.

 

Learners have access to full e-learning package for this qualification and are assessed by means of an e-assessment with remote online invigilation at home when convenient to them.

 

This e-learning course and assessment with remote invigilation is aimed at individuals working in or wishing to work in any industry that involved the retail sale of alcohol.  Anyone wishing to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol by retail on licensed premises must hold a personal licence.

Learners have access to full e-learning package for this qualification and are assessed by means of an e-assessment with remote online invigilation at home when convenient to them.

 

 

 

 

Qualification type City and Guilds Level 2 NVQ
Duration 1 year
Study times You will be expected to be in college for a minimum of 3 days per week, from 9:00 to 4:15. Your timetable will be confirmed at induction. Some evening work will be required. 
Entry requirements Successful completion of Catering Certificate Level 1 or Professional Cookery Level 1 or suitable work-based experience. An interview and positive tutor report will be required. In addition, a successful induction period will be required to identify which Level 2 pathway is appropriate for each student.

This qualification will provide you with the underpinning knowledge required by employers to work in a range of different environments in a customer service role.
