Plumbing and Building Services Engineering

Plumbing and Building Services Engineering is all about making buildings meet the needs of the people who live and work in them, making a significant contribution to today’s society. These services cover Plumbing and Heating, Electrotechnical, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and Heating and Ventilation.

Whether you choose to specialise in Plumbing, or take the multiskilled option of Building Services Engineering, you can expect your course to deliver against industry standards taught by lecturers and technical demonstrators with vast experience and knowledge of all sectors.

Your week will include a combination of both theory and practical workshop sessions. In our workshop, you will have access to high quality tools and facilities, led by staff who are always at hand to help you.

As well as your core qualification, you will undertake enrichment activities like industry led talks, Grudfos Ecademy training courses, the World Skills Competition and HIP Plumbing Student of the Year.

We have built excellent links with local and regional businesses. This will help you to gain meaningful work experience and work on projects which will bring your learning to life and allow you to develop those vital employer connections.

Every year, many of our students progress onto our Level 3 Apprenticeship, whilst others continue learning or gain other meaningful employment within the Building Services Engineering industry.
