Culinary Arts Academy

You live to create a sensation. Your effort, energy and endless good humour are dedicated to making people’s most enduring and happiest memories. 

Making certain that everybody has a great time is highly rewarding thing to do. Whether you choose to do that as a host or restauranteur, or if you long to be creative in the kitchen, hospitality is a high energy world with huge opportunities.

Working from our on-site commercial restaurant, Edmund’s, you will gain invaluable experience right from the start, preparing and delivering service daily. You’ll be able to use that experience to launch a career or as a platform for further study - perhaps at university or under a famous chef.... anyone fancy Gordon Ramsay as a mentor?

There are three commercial kitchens in Edmund’s, where you will begin your training learning kitchen skills, pastry and service. 

You’ll be expected to work hard, and you’ll get a sense of the pressure and the hours that always go with the hospitality industry. Will you be able to handle the heat? Or will you want to turn it up?!

If you’re enthusiastic and dedicated, you could go far. The industry offers obvious opportunities for travel and adventure, as well as lifestyle businesses. There’s no doubt that it takes a lot of dedication and involves some risk, but vision, creativity and effort are always rewarded.
