The School Engagement team can visit your school to deliver a variety of activities to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils. Activities on offer are listed below in the drop-down menus and the booking form can be used to contact the team.

  • Presentations, Talks, Assemblies ⬇️

    Suitable for Year 7-11 can be delivered to a single class, year groups or whole school.

    These are available on the following topics:

    • Further Education Focussing on post-16 pathways and options available
    • Apprenticeships Discussing the apprenticeship provision at WSC
    • Next Steps Year 10 Exploring and understanding post-16 options
    • Future Steps Key Stage 3 Raising awareness and aspiration to post-16 choices

    We can also offer school talks that explore the Abbeygate Sixth Form and One Sixth Form College provision, which, along with West Suffolk College, make up the Eastern Education Group. To book these, contact the School Team or use the booking form below.

  • Careers Fairs, Parent and Options Evenings ⬇️

    We can attend events at your school to provide information to your pupils and their parents about the West Suffolk College post-16 and apprenticeship offer.

    Depending on availability, the team can attend daytime and evening events, either for a single year group or whole school.

  • Lunchtime Drop In Sessions ⬇️

    During your break or lunch times, our staff can host a stand to provide post-16 information to your pupils across all year groups. This may be suitable for Year 11 pupils if they are unable to attend your in-school careers fair. We can host a stand in your library or lunch area for pupils to access independently during their breaktime.

  • Key Stage 3 Future Steps Programme ⬇️

    During the Spring and Summer term, we can offer Key Stage 3 Future Steps activities, which include the following -

    • Presentation Assembly - Introducing all post-16 pathways after Year 11. 15-20 minutes. In-person or virtually. Available for the full year group or across year groups.
    • Presentation & Activities - The above presentation followed by two activities ran in a workshop-style. The activities include looking at individual skills and attributes. 60-75 minute lesson, in-person, maximum of 30 pupils per group.
  • Mock Interview Days ⬇️
    If you host Mock Interview days for Key Stage 4 and 5, our staff are available to assist in interviewing pupils and attending the day.
