Amelia Castle, 18, from Bury St Edmunds works for West Suffolk College. Amelia received the internal apprentice of the year prize.
Amelia said: “I wanted to gain on the job, real life experience whilst gaining a qualification. I’m learning something new every day. So I believe that an apprenticeship is a great way to start my career.
“Personally, I would recommend these qualifications as they are a perfect way to gain experience in a workplace whilst still getting a qualification.
“Winning this award has been the highlight. I am proud of myself and it’s a great reward for the hard work I put in. In terms of my future, I would like to work in a profession that I enjoy and where I am able to help people.
