Reality Cheque writer Erica Dupuy.
An epic murder mystery play inspired by Agatha Christie is set to hit the stage this week.
Reality Cheque will see a talented all female cast perform this brand-new production at Conservatoire East in Bury St Edmunds between 1 and 4 May 2024.
It’s written Erica Dupuy - a Bury based artistic tour de force. The talented writer, director and actor who works at West Suffolk College claims that ‘the show has more twists and turns than a ten-minute ride on a fairground waltzer’.
Tickets are priced £14.00 for adults and £10.00 for students and the show is suitable for everyone aged 14 and over - and the show will take place at the theatre based in the grounds of West Suffolk College. (Conservatoire EAST Events - 9 Upcoming Activities and Tickets | Eventbrite).
Erica added: “I’ve always been a massive fan of Agatha Christie and the play is an homage to her. It is set in 2002 and it is intense and will keep you guessing until the end. The audience will feel they are part of the production, and it is full of intrigue. I don’t think people will have seen anything like this before - it has ups and downs and it will be thrilling as the stage is round so it will be a unique experience where they will be immersed in the show.”
Connie is studying on a level 3 musical theatre course. Connie said: “It is based on Agatha Christie’s novel ‘And Then There Were None’ and is set on an island. All of the characters think they are part of a reality TV show but then the status quo starts to unravel and the audience is taken on a journey to find out whodunnit. It has spooky elements, a bit of gore. This is Agatha Christie rewritten for a modern audience.”
Lexi is studying on a level 3 acting course. “This will take the audience on an amazing adventure.”
