Alan Barrett - organiser of West and Loud gearing up for the 2024 event that is taking place at West Suffolk College on 11 May 2024
The West Suffolk College automotive and motorsports team are gearing up to go full throttle when they host a fun family car event this weekend.
Called West and Loud – the occasion takes place on Saturday 11 May 2024 in the car park of next to West Suffolk College on Out Risbygate Street between 10am and 2pm.
Last year, over 300 cars and 1000 guests attended an occasion that costs £4.00 to enter for general admission or £10 for a family ticket.
All of the profits this year will be given to two charities.
One of the organisers – Alan Barrett – explains: Alan said: “West and Loud is a community event so the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) and Driven Minds will be receiving donations this year.
“If you want to come and show a vehicle then entrance is free – please note that all guest vehicles will have to access via Beetons Way so that we can avoid congestion on Out Risbygate Street. It’s a car and motorcycle show. People will be showing vehicles and its four hours of fun for petrolheads who will be able to have a look at a massively varied selection of vehicles. We will have everything from electric, classics, modern and retro cars. We will have lots of American vehicles and there is always something strange and unusual to see. Food outlets are coming along and a couple of external companies including Sealeys. I think it’s important the college gets involved in community events like this. Students will be there helping and staffing the event and it’s a good day out.”
