Eastern Education Group congratulated the class of 2024 on their results today.
Eastern Education Group includes One Sixth Form College (ONE) based in Ipswich along with Abbeygate Sixth Form College (Abbeygate) and West Suffolk College who are both situated in Bury St Edmunds.
At ONE, more than 600 students received A-levels and 572 gained vocational qualifications.
In terms of A-levels, ONE saw a 97% overall pass rate, with 68.31% of students achieving grades at A* to C.
Out of those who studied A-levels, 400 sat 3 A-levels or more and gained a A* to C grade.
99.4% of students passed their vocational qualifications.
And 44% of students who studied on a full-time vocational diploma programme gained a distinction profile (D*D*D* to DDD).
At Abbeygate, a total of 523 students received A level grades .
In terms of A levels, Abbeygate saw a 98% overall pass rate, with 71% gaining grades of A* to C.
Out of those who studied A-levels, 472 sat 3 A-levels or more and the A* to C grade relating to this group was 88%.
A small proportion of students do two A-levels and an applied diploma. The overall pass rate includes the diplomas because they're graded the same way. 18.1% of the grades in terms of the diploma were graded at A* or A.
At West Suffolk College, a total of 1583 students received vocational qualifications achieving a pass rate of over 95% with the majority achieving Merit and Distinction grades.
In terms of the new T Level qualification, 43 students studied on, construction, design and surveying, education and early years and health pathways.
On the health and design pathways, 100% of students passed their course which is an incredible achievement.

Jake Robson, Group Sixth Form Principal at ONE said: “We are absolutely delighted with the A level and level 3 vocational outcomes at One Sixth Form College this year, marking the success of our largest graduating cohort to date, with over 900 students. With a 10% increase in recruitment and retention, we’ve seen 100 more young people in the region achieve level 3 qualifications.
“They are now ready to embark on their chosen paths in higher education and employment. Most importantly, these results set our students on a bright journey towards happy, fulfilled and successful futures.”
