students take over tuddenham mill kitchen

A number of students from West Suffolk College in Bury St Edmunds will take over Tuddenham Mill’s kitchen and restaurant for an evening to cook and serve a four-course menu.

Students from West Suffolk College will work alongside Tuddenham Mill’s kitchen and front of house teams on Thursday 30th November 2017 to get a first-hand experience of running a dinner service in the Suffolk’s 3 AA rosette restaurant.

Prior to the event Tuddenham Mill’s Chef Patron, Lee Bye and his team will visit West Suffolk College and over a series of sessions will teach Level 1 students how to prepare and cook all the dishes, which then will be served to Tuddenham Mill’s diners.

The evening will be a unique opportunity to a number of young and aspiring chefs and front of house students to learn invaluable skills and make industry links at a very early stage of their studies.

Chef Patron, Lee Bye, said: “I am really honoured to mentor the Level 1 students at this great college throughout their younger years. I remember how tough I found college and lack of guidance and support. I am really excited to share this journey with the young guys and help them with their challenging first year. Bringing these students to Tuddenham Mill will give them a great opportunity to experience the industry, get stuck in and build some confidence early on.”

4 course menu - £39.00 per person
Places are limited for this event and table reservations must be made in advance
