Overview of course
This course is aimed at qualified electricians looking to gain knowledge and practical understanding of the initial verification, certification, periodic Inspection testing and certification of electrical systems.
This qualification provides an understanding of the theory and practice involved in the initial verification and certification of electrical installations and also includes the necessary understanding to carry out periodic inspection and testing and correct completion of all relevant documentation.
The course is 5 days in length, commencing at 9.00 and finishing at 16.30 with training days on Fridays on the following dates:

with on-line examination on the afternoon of 23 May 2025
½ day practical assessments follow the training and online examination evenings.

Entry requirements
Candidates should have a good knowledge and practice of electrical installation and be time served.
Candidates should have a sound knowledge of the requirements of BS7671:2008(2011) and ideally hold the C&G 2382 or equivalent.
It is essential that all individuals accepted on the course have a good level of English and Maths, as candidates will be required to complete practical and written assessments for the examination.
All candidates will have a telephone interview prior to being accepted onto the course.
**Due to awarding body entry requirements, delegates must be 18 years or over to undertake this qualification**

Will I have to provide anything?
Copies of the current edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations, On-site guide and Guidance Note 3 Inspection & Testing are essential for this course and must be purchased in advance. Candidates must also bring a scientific calculator with them to the course.
