Policing and Public Services
Do you aspire to be a member of the armed forces, a fire fighter, a police officer, or support the security of our country through the control of our borders or by working for one of His Majesty’s prisons? If your answer is yes, then these are the courses for you.
The suite of qualifications on offer in this department will give you an in-depth understanding of the principles of the uniformed public services sector; giving you the opportunity to explore the different routes into a uniformed public services career.
Taught by industry professionals who have worked in the different uniformed public services, you will study a variety of units which will deepen your knowledge and understanding of the UK’s public services.
Your course will give you both practical and theory experience, as well as working on your physical fitness to prepare you for the levels required for entry into your chosen career path.
You will be given the opportunity to engage with the local community and Police, Fire, Royal Air Force, British Army and Royal Navy including the Royal Marines, Prison and Border Force, to gain hands on experiences dealing with members of the public and developing the essential skills for employment.
After completing the course, our students progress on many different career paths in HM Forces and emergency services, other choose higher education. But whatever exciting and adventurous route you choose, you can be sure that you will leave the here fully equipped with the skills, character strengths and connections to give you the best possible start in your future career.
