Overview of course
There are various start dates during the academic year. Attendance is required at a training day / induction, after which all other leaning and assessment is arranged on an individual basis.
The start dates for the 2024/25 academic year are Wednesday 4 September 2024, Monday 13 January 2025 and Wednesday 30 April 2025 at West Suffolk College in Bury St Edmunds
This is a 15 credit qualification which comprises a knowledge unit and the two performance units. This means the assessor-trainee needs to be actively assessing in both a workplace and work-related training environments. They will need to demonstrate that they are assessing at least two learners in each setting. It usually takes 9 – 15 months to achieve.
Entry requirements
