Students, tutors and Suffolk Police recruitment team.
This week the Suffolk Police Positive recruitment team led by Danielle Lord have spent three days in college with our Policing and Public Service students.
This is now the second year we have run the careers event with Suffolk Constabulary. During the week students have been able to speak with officers from a variety of different specialist area within the Police, including an officer who is a ex-student of the Public Service course. Students have been able to experience elements of the recruitment process and looked at the Police Code of Ethics.
On the final day of the event students presented to a panel officers. Their presentation was looking at public confidence in the Police and how the Police can improve relationships, the students are going to continue working with the local officers on some of the ideas they presented.
Thank you to all the officers who attended, most gave up their rest days to make the event possible and we are looking forward to strengthening our working relationship further in the new academic year.
