About the course
The Level 1 course is designed to provide the student with a sound grounding in welding studies and is intended for those who need to obtain a basic skill in welding. The course is very hands on and takes place in our well equipped workshop.
The topics covered are Health and Safety in the workshop, tools and safety equipment and the safe and correct use of welding sets.
The programme includes five mandatory practical assessments and an oral test which covers the knowledge requirements for the programme of study. The oral test will be carried out by the assessor following the successful completion of the practical tests.
This course will be run at the North Cambridgeshire Training Centre in Chatteris. Days and times are to be confirmed.
Entry requirements
No specific prior qualifications, learning or experience are required for candidates undertaking the Level 1.

How much will it cost?
The course attracts a level of funding which for eligible delegates reduces the course fee to £395. However, there is full funding available to students that meet criteria such as: earnings below £30,491 gross per annum or are in receipt of certain benefits.
