Menopausal symptoms can have a detrimental impact on quality of life, well-being and may also have a significant impact on personal relationships and professional life - with 10% of women leaving their jobs directly due to the menopause.

This course is aimed at anyone who wants to expand their knowledge on menopause and challenge the social stigma and taboo of discussing this topic.  The course will provide learners with a general understanding of the stages of the menopause, why it's important to raise awareness, explore reasonable adjustments employers can make, and learn how we can support friends and family going through it.

This course will increase your knowledge and understanding of how cultural diversity, social and personal elements can cause mental health problems.  How to recognise and respond to mental health conditions and will provide you with a range of skills needed when working in mental health or supporting people with poor mental health.

This course will enable you to think about your money more carefully and will help you to budget more specifically. 

You will become more aware of what you are spending daily, weekly and monthly, as this course encourages you to evaluate your spending patterns and how necessary the spending is.

Do you need help in achieving financial goals ?  This course aids more careful thinking about money; specifically how to budget better and to save money.  Learn about interest rates and how they directly affect financial decisions.

Around the world, more than 700,000 people die every year due to suicide, and for every suicide, there are many more people who attempt it.

This course is aimed at anybody who wants to expand their knowledge of suicide awareness and prevention. Learners should be able to recognise the effects of suicide and suicidal thoughts on the affected individual, their loved ones and on wider society. They will also understand how to recognise suicidal behaviour in children, young people and adults and how to support individuals.

 

We take the safeguarding of individuals emotional and physical wellbeing exceptionally seriously. Some courses and subjects covered in programmes can be upsetting for learners and although every effort to include trigger warnings where appropriate, it is important to acknowledge that we cannot know or understand potential triggers for all learners.  These courses are designed to provide training and further knowledge and should not be undertaken as a form of non-clinical therapeutic intervention or counselling.

Research shows that the number of people experiencing and suffering with anxiety is on the rise, especially since the Covid-19 pandemic, so it is more important than ever that people know how to manage and minimise it.  Whether the anxiety is caused by work or exam pressures, financial problems, health issues or something else, everyone can experience anxiety.

This course will give you the knowledge needed to understand the causes and effects of anxiety, how to support people who suffer from anxiety, and how to manage anxiety.
