The Certificate in Leadership and Management is a sharply focused qualification, introducing the range of knowledge and transferable skills needed to manage in today's rapidly changing business environment.

Employers have identified many benefits arising as a result of their managers undertaking the ILM management qualifications and these include:

  • Better performance and productivity
  • Increased motivation
  • Reductions in absenteeism and accidents
  • Enhanced organisational image and increased credibility.

The minimum attendance requirement is 11 sessions delivered over 6 months.

The course fee includes all tuition fees, course materials and the costs of registration and certification with the ILM.

 

This course has been designed to give delegates the option to attend North Cambridgeshire Training Centre for classroom style delivery and / or remote delivery sessions with a supporting workbook.  Delegates will have a choice of what sessions they wish to attend giving more flexibility to the delivery model and ability to engage in a mix of classroom and remote learning.

Improvement Technicians are responsible for delivery and coaching of improvement activity within an area of responsibility, often associated with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. They can be found across all industry sectors and functions including automotive, banking, engineering, food products, IT, property, retail, telecoms Local and County Councils, NHS, Voluntary / Charity, Utilities, Pharmaceuticals, Insurance, Hospitality etc. 

Typically, Technicians work as a member of an operational team to resolve problems - preventing re-occurrence, engaging others in issues affecting them and to support the improvement of performance. Typical activities include:

  • Engaging team members in the identification of improvement opportunities and relevant countermeasures and controls
  • Initiating and facilitating improvement activities through to confirmed resolution
  • Providing local expertise in business improvement methods and basic tools to team

The primary role of a digital marketer is to define, design, build and implement digital campaigns across a variety of online and social media platforms to drive customer acquisition, customer engagement and customer retention. A digital marketer will typically be working as part of a team, in which they will have responsibility for some of the straightforward elements of the overall marketing plan or campaign. The marketer will work to marketing briefs and instructions. They will normally report to a digital marketing manager, a marketing manager or an IT Manager.

It allows you to gain technical knowledge and real practical experience while being paid to do so. Along with functional and personal skills that are needed for your immediate job and future career you will learn through a mix of project based learning in the workplace, formal off the job training, and the opportunity to practice and embed new skills in a real work context.

They attract candidates and successfully place them in those jobs in return for a fee. A recruitment consultant may focus on the supply of flexible workers, permanent placements or a combination of both. Typical responsibilities for a recruitment consultant are:

A team leader/supervisor is a first line management role, with operational/project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome. They provide direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of set goals.

Key responsibilities are likely to include supporting, managing and developing team members, managing projects, planning and monitoring workloads and resources, delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships internally and externally.

Roles/Occupations may include: Supervisor, Team Leader, Project Officer, Shift Supervisor, Foreperson, and Shift Manager.
Learners will be required to attend workshop sessions on a monthly basis in accordance with the schedule below. Other training activities will be required to ensure 20% off the job training is met and these will included participation in Webinars, listening to and review of Podcasts, researching and reviewing Case Studies, Project Work, Personal Development Planning, Blended Learning and other Practical Training.
