Overview of course

The Executive Assistant Diploma by Adam Fidler Academy is a comprehensive study programme for EAs, PAs and Administrators.  The Level 4 qualification is aimed at individuals who wish to develop and extend their understanding of office and administration management and is ideal for PAs, EAs and Admin Managers who want to gain a more advanced formal qualification in this field and develop management stills and leadership skills.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements.  However, students should be able to work at Level 3 (A-Level) or above, and have good literacy and numeracy skills, with confidence in their writing ability. Entrants at Level 4 will normally be practicing PAs, EAs, secretaries and administrators, with several years' solid experience in a business support role.

Qualifications

This qualification is on the Ofqual register and is awarded by SFJ Awards, through Adam Fidler Academy

Further course detail

Students are required to undertake the following units to achieve the qualification:

  • The Role of the Executive Assistant
  • Commercial and Business Awareness
  • Management Skills
  • Effective Administrative Management

The qualification requires approximately 150 hours of self-study by students to succeed, over as short or as long a time as they wish. The actual amount of study will largely reflect the amount of practical experience the student has to complement their studies.  We generally find that between 2-5 hours a week for students with relevant work experience will enable them to complete this course in about a year.

The qualification is assessed through four written assignments.  Each unit is assessed by its own individual assignment (1,500-3,000 words) – and this could be: a case study, report, project plan, work-based evidence, tasks, reflective statements or learning log.
